Qi-gong (also spelled Chi Kung) is an ancient practice of graceful movement coordinated with breath. Qi-Gong originated in China a few thousand years ago and is now practiced daily by millions around the world. 'Qi' or 'Chi' means energy and 'Gong' or 'Kung' means work. Qi-gong works with internal energy to increase your vitality.
Qi-gong combines slow gentle movements and breathing to circulate internal energy and improve overall well being. Qi-gong practice enhances mental and physical fitness and counteracts the negative effects of stress.
Tai Chi Qi-gong is based on the popular Tai Chi form that is regularly practiced by people in public parks in China and throughout the world. It offers the same benefits of the more complicated Tai Chi practice, but is much easier to learn.
Benefits of Tai Chi Qi-gong include:
-
Improved health and well-being
-
Increased energy and vitality
-
Clear and tranquil mind
-
Greater intuition and creativity
-
Deeper, more restorative sleep
-
A positive attitude
